The neglect by the leadership of Free Winnifred Beach Benevolent Society to push for the swift implementation of the court order issued in September of 2014 now put the (UDC) Urban Development Corporation in breach of  Resident Magistrate Marjorie Moyston order, that order said,

"UDC has 90 days to create on a new title an easement for the right of the public to access the beach for bathing and recreation purposes." 

With this ruling in hand since September of 2014 very little has been done by the Free Winnifred Beach Benevolent Society to effort the implementation of the Judges orders. The UDC is now in breach of Resident Magistrate Marjorie Moyston orders. Winnifred Beach fought for over 15 years is now in the hands of a few who valiantly fought with the support of the Fairy Hill and surrounding communities.

The struggle of the people of winnifred beach was supported by people all over the world including Sweden, Italy, Germany who have visited Jamaica over and over again to enjoy winnifred beach. It would be an outrage and disappointment to find that top members of Free winnifred Beach Benevolent Society with an hard fought for Legal ruling has bended to Political pressure and pressure from the UDC shelving Justice Marjorie Moyston ruling.

The ruling, which was handed down in the Port Antonio Resident Magistrate's Court in the parish last month by Resident Magistrate Marjorie Moyston, said UDC has 90 days to create on a new title an easement for the right of the public to access the beach for bathing and recreation purposes.

Four members of the Free Winnifred Beach Benevolent Society took the matter to court five years ago, seeking a declaration of the public's absolute and indefeasible right to access the beach.

The Court order include, "The beach park would feature, at minimum, the following amenities: a ticket office, guard post, business offices and family-oriented recreational facilities, as well as sanitary conveniences," noted the EIA report done by consultants Technological and Environmental Management Network.

President Obama removed a part of this extra financial obligation by taking away the Student Loan disbursement from the Banks saving Students $6 Billion Dollars in interest and fees. These actions were seen as a Negative by some Elements of the Republican Party including Representative Todd Aiken referring to the move as, "Stage III cancer of socialism"  as a result of the Presidents action more than 7.4 million students currently hold affordable student loans at a 3.4 percent interest rate.

Rep Todd Akin compared student loans to Stage III cancer: "America has got the equivalent of the Stage III cancer of socialism because the federal government is tampering in all kinds of stuff it has no business tampering in. So, first to answer your question precisely. What the democrats did to get rid of the private student loans and take it all over by the government was wrong. It was a lousy bill. That's why I voted no. The government needs to get its nose out of the education business."

 On July 10, 1978 Mr. Justice Uriah Parnell, began hearing Buck's election petition which was adjourned a year and five weeks later on August 17, 1979. In this election petition 31 witnesses were called, eight by Buck and 23 by Dr. King. It was the longest election petition in Jamaica's history lasting for 84 days.

After the death of her charming rogue of a husband, Patrice Wymore returned to Hollywood for a brief revival of her career during which time she appeared in "Ocean's Eleven" with Frank Sinatra. In 1967 she came back to Jamaica for good and soon became known for her skills at cattle farming, once even winning the title of Champion Farmer. Clear Channel Outdoor, which rented the billboard space to an unnamed family foundation, explained that they decided to remove the billboards because they “violate our policy of not accepting anonymous political ads.” Clear Channel also agreed to donate 10 billboards that will display a counter-message clarifying that voting is a right and not a crime:

Nonsuch Cave in Port Antonio-Jamaica

Nonsuch Caves Port Antonio Jamaica. 

The caves have nine separate chambers, dimly lit with lanterns revealing stalagmites and stalactites. Fossils of fish and other sea creatures are seen in the limestone formation proving that Jamaica was once beneath the sea. One chamber has a ceiling forty feet high and is a favorite haunt for bats.
