Hurricane Sandy! Eight Days in the Dark
Light was a big relief, at some point along the way as I come home to darkness every day, I wonder if I would have electricity ever again. On Sunday on my way from work I drive through communities that showed steady progress, light was on where there were none the day before. My feeling of anticipation grew tonight as I get closer home, will this be the night for me? will have electric light tonight?. The indication of weather I have light would come soon as I make the left on the main cross street to my house.
| Power lines downed by branches |
There are 2 traffic lights before my block after I make the left, the first one had lights all through the aftermath of the storm the second, if the second light continues to be out then I would remain without light for the eight straight day and night. The cold and frustration were now seeping into my consciousness and and deep in my bones. As I made the left at first I avoided looking immediately at the light, I did not want to let go of the good feeling for those communities I passed that now had light. I imagined the feeling of those parents no longer seem to be failures to their children and those who depend on them they were now heroes of course at some point I had to really look at the light and when I did, I suddenly felt cold, I felt every energy drain from my body, my anticipation was shattered and disappointment engulf me, another night in the cold and dark. In the darkness of my room I asked, will I ever see light again. Placed on the passenger seat beside me was the headlamp I have been using for the past days.

Errol Flynn and Port Antonio Jamaica
![]() |
| Patrice Wymore Flynn (Right) |
Errol Flynn's love affair with Port Antonio began in the 1940's while he was on a sailing trip destined for the Galapagos. Back then, a storm blew his boat the Zaca off course to Jamaica and soon he discovered the island's northeast treasure. Port Antonio became Flynn's home for many years and as he wrote in his memoir, "After thirty-seven years of wandering I had found my Grecian isle."
Now, the Marina at Port Antonio has been renamed the Errol Flynn Marina, in tribute to the town's most famous resident. "It's amazing that even today Flynn's presence remains an undercurrent in Port Antonio," said William Tatham, Vice President of Cruise and Marina Operations. "The renaming of the Marina is merely an affirmation of what residents and visitors have known for a long time, and that his mystique is still very much a part of the fabric of this part of Jamaica. The Jamaica Yacht Club Host the annual Port Antonio Blue Marlin fishing Tournament from the Errol Flynn Marina. The Tournament is held between September and October each year. The Tournament is over 40 years old and attract Anglers from all over the world.

"This endearing tribute to Errol is perfect in so many ways; he loved the sea, and he adored Port Antonio, so this is a wonderful union of his passions" said Flynn's widow Patrice Wymore Flynn, who continues to live at the Estate.
The Errol Flynn Marina is a 32-slip yacht complex that accommodates vessels up to 350 LOA with a maximum depth of 17 feet. It also boasts single and three-phase power and shore storage and is an official Port of Entry with 24-hour Jamaica Customs and Immigration. Boat repairs and maintenance are available at the full-service boat yard, which features a 100-ton boat lift, the only one of its kind in the Western Caribbean.
Some of Errol Flynn movies include Captain Blood (1935). Quickly typecast as a swashbuckler, he followed it with The Charge of the Light Brigade (1936). After his appearance as Miles Hendon in The Prince and the Pauper (1937), he was cast in his most celebrated role as Robin Hood in The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), his first film in Technicolor. He went on to appear in The Dawn Patrol (1938) with David Niven,Dodge City (1939), The Sea Hawk (1940) and Adventures of Don Juan (1948).
Working throughout his career with a cross section of Hollywood's best fight arrangers, Flynn became noted for his fast-paced sword fights as seen in The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Sea Hawk and Captain Blood.
Flynn co-starred with Olivia de Havilland in eight films: Captain Blood (1935), The Charge of the Light Brigade (1936), The Adventures of Robin Hood(1938), Four's a Crowd (1938), Dodge City (1939), The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939), Santa Fe Trail (1940), and They Died with Their Boots On (1941) these films are a part of the Errol Flynn Biography.

Glen Beck's Come To Jesus Moment
| God's moment with Glen Beck |
On Saturday Mr Beck was able to influence an agenda that brought thousands of Americans together at the Lincoln monument for rally that turns out having no purpose than to bring people at a time when Americans are focused on their difficulties.
Mr Beck while primarily responsible for the scare and anger in our nation as espoused on the airwaves an TV side stepped the issues he used to bring the nation to anger and panic brought attention to more mundane issues like the need for God and tribute to the military.
The real winner in all this is the American People who now can go back to their communities and focus on which Party is working in their own interest and make good decisions in November. Mr Beck having admitted the President is not a racist is one concern taken away from his listeners and viewers. Next Mr Beck must address the Bert-hers and remove that as an issue, then he must look at the health care Law and address the good things about the Law and how in the future they will benefit his listeners, viewers and Business.
MY friends by now you must realize as Mr Beck continue to strip away all the wool that he drew over peoples eyes in the past months the only thing that's left is for Mr Beck to approach the Banking and Business community and tell them the war is over we have caused enough suffering on the American people this is not working lets get back to work.
Mr Beck can read Tea Leaves just as anyone else he knows now that he can bring healing to a vast section of the American community and with his brewing Political ambitions he need to get out in front of the crowd now and help this Nation.
