Dick Cheney Food Stamp hypocrisy

Who Get Food Stamp

Dick Cheney said the president “would much rather spend the money on food stamps than he would on a strong military or support for our troops”. Cheney accused  the Obama administration Monday over proposed military spending cuts, insisting that budget cuts would be “absolutely devastating” to the U.S. military and accusing Pres. Barack Obama of preferring welfare to military spending.
Food Stamp Use by State

Dick Cheney is not the first Republican to criticize President Obama over rising food stamp spending, but the Bush Cheney administration oversaw significant growth in enrollment in the food stamp program as well. The number of Americans on food stamps grew by 14.1 million during first five years of Obama’s presidency (2009-2013). When Dick Cheney and George Bush was in office, the number grew by 16.2 million (2001-2009).

Dr Ben Carson

Dr Ben Carson

A son of slavery declare Obamacare is slavery, do you agree?

Benjamin Solomon "BenCarson, Sr., (born September 18, 1951) is a retired American neurosurgeon. Among other surgical innovations, Carson did pioneering work on the successful separation of conjoined twins joined at the head. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States, by President George W. Bush in 2008. After delivering a widely publicized speech at the February 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, he became a popular figure in conservative media for his views on social issues and the government's role in the health care industry.

Dr. Ben Carson didn't mince words: Obamacare is “the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery.” “It is slavery because it aims to make all of us subservient to the government,” he said. “It was never about health care. It was about control.” Is it having control over your health care that Insurance companies cannot deny you coverage as a result of a pre-existing condition.

When he was eight years old, his parents divorced and he was raised by his mother along with his 10 year old brother Curtis. He struggled throughout elementary school both academically and emotionally with his temper.

Ben Carson Prostate Cancer Pre-existing condition

In June 2002, Dr Ben Carson cut back on his public appearances when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He still operated on more than 300 children a year, but tried to shorten his work days: prior to his cancer he used to work from 7:00 in the morning until 8:00 at night.

Dr Carson has identified himself as being independent of any political party. "If I were part of one, it would be called the 'Logic party,' and it would be dedicated to commonsense approaches we all should be able to see." This would include "recognizing that our debt is so great we have got to stop digging the hole and spend less." Despite largely expressing conservative viewpoints in his National Prayer Breakfast speech, Dr Carson has also expressed some views at odds with conservatives, such as supporting banning semi-automatic weapons in cities

Debt ceiling increase $5.365 trillion or 90 percent under Bush

Republican who voted for debt ceiling increase
The debt ceiling was raised on seven occasions during President George W. Bush's two terms in office, from $5.95 trillion in 2001 to nearly double that, $11.315 trillion, in 2009 - an increase of $5.365 trillion or 90 percent increase over 8 years.
Under Bush the debt ceiling increased:
    by $450 billion to $6.4 trillion in June 2002;
    by $984 billion to $7.384 trillion 11 months later, in May 2003;
    by $800 billion to $8.184 trillion 18 months later, in November 2004;
    by $781 billion to $8.965 trillion 16 months later, in March 2006;
    by $850 billion to $9.815 trillion 18 months later, in September 2007;
    by $800 billion to $10.615 trillion 10 months later, in July 2008;
and by $700 billion to $11.315 trillion three months later, in October 2008.

Drumbeat to war!, we will be greeted as liberators. Dick Cheney

Q: Do you think the American people are prepared for a long, costly, and bloody battle with significant American casualties?.

We will be greeted as liberators.

Q: Mr. Russert: If your analysis is not correct, and we're not treated as liberators, but as conquerors, and the Iraqis begin to resist, particularly in Baghdad, do you think the American people are prepared for a long, costly, and bloody battle with significant American casualties?

Vice President CheneyI don't think it's likely to unfold that way, Tim (Tim Russert), because, I really do believe that we will be greeted as liberators. I've talked with a lot of Iraqis in the last several months myself, had them to the White House. The president (President George W Bush)and I have met with them, various groups and individuals, people who have devoted their lives from the outside to trying to change things inside Iraq. And like Kanan Makiya who's a professor at Brandeis, but an Iraqi, he's written great books about the subject, knows the country intimately, and is a part of the democratic opposition and resistance.

The read we get on the people of Iraq is there is no question but what they want to the get rid of Saddam Hussein and they will welcome as liberators the United States when we come to do that.

The reality of it all is Vice President Richard Cheney and President George W Bush could not have been more wrong. The answers Dick Cheney gave to Tim Russert were later proven to be figments of Dick Cheney's imagination on the Drumbeat to war in Iraq. The interview with Dick Cheney by Tim Russert was one of few serious penetrating inquisition by the press truly examining the consequences if the prediction my the Bush administration turn sour and they did.

A total of 4,486 U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq between 2003 and 2012, The war has killed at least 134,000 Iraqi civilians and may have contributed to the deaths of as many as four times that number, according to the Costs of War Project by the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University.

The U.S. war in Iraq has cost $1.7 trillion with an additional $490 billion in benefits owed to war veterans, expenses that could grow to more than $6 trillion over the next four decades counting interest

"Constituent Betrayed By Senator Jeff Flake's vote"

Senator Jeff Flake and his Family

Senator Jeff Flake cannot stand by his own written word, most people ask that they may not be recorded or quoted considering conversations off the record, not Senator Jeff  Flake he is a stand up guy who prefer to write a note as to his intention. It turns out Senator Jeff Flake was only lying to this constituent as is the practice of our current crop of Congressmen and Women and Senators in Washington.

Flake vote against background check

I has become OK for congressional leaders to lie about their intention or totally ignore the will of the majority of Americans as represented in Public Polls, rather force the ideology they espouse or the ideology of the various special interest who supported them financially in their election. While 90% of Americans want congress to put some kind of background check in place to reduce the number Americans murdered by firearms Senator Flake ignore the peoples desire.

One of the more revealing statistics is during the Iraq War over 8 years 4485 American service people were killed and those people were fighting in war by people who hate us.Within the six months immediately after the Sandy Hook Shooting 5456 Americans are murdered here at home by guns by people who love us.

Senator flake having given his constituent his word in writing and then betrayed this Family forget a very simple formula something Americans learn during the Bush v Gore debacle in Florida, "every vote count" since that Election America has seen longer lines at Polling Stations, Citizens up to 12 hours at in some instance to make sure their vote count and a greater number of electorate participating in the electoral process.

Senator Jeff Flake cannot stand by his written word

“I hope this debate isn't over. I hope we can continue,” Flake said. “We do need to take measures to make this situation better and we can do so in a way that is consistent with the Second Amendment.”

If a United States Senator such as Senator Jeff Flake cannot stand by his written word to a constituent how can we believe such Senators when they conduct policy affecting us the American people behind closed doors?.

Bio Sen Jeff Flake

Jeffry Lane "Jeff" Flake (born December 31, 1962) is an American politician and the junior United States Senator from Arizona. He served as a U.S. Representative for Arizona from 2001–2013, representing Arizona's 6th congressional district (initially Arizona's 1st congressional district). He is a member of the Republican Party.
Flake was the 2012 Republican nominee to represent Arizona in the U.S. Senate. He defeated Democrat Richard Carmona in the general election on November 6, 2012.

"This is the guy who tried to kill my dad."

President George W Bush on Iraq War , "I have No Regrets".

President George W. Bush, Discussing the threat posed by Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Bush said,
"After all, this is the guy who tried to kill my dad."

10/29/2001, Michael Leeden, American Enterprise Institute,
"Just wage a total war against these tyrants; I think we will do very well and our children will sing great songs about us years from now."

10/7/2002, George W. Bush, President,
"The Iraqi regime . . . possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons. We know that the regime has produced thousands of tons of chemical agents, including mustard gas, sarin nerve gas, VX nerve gas."

09/18/2002,  Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense (before Congress):

"We do know that the Iraqi regime has chemical and biological weapons. His regime has amassed large, clandestine stockpiles of chemical weapons -- including VX, sarin, cyclosarin and mustard gas. ... His regime has amassed large, clandestine stockpiles of biological weapons—including anthrax and botulism toxin, and possibly smallpox." (presentation to Congress)

 11/01/2002, George W. Bush, President,
"... for the sake of protecting our friends and allies, the United States will lead a mighty coalition of freedom-loving nations and disarm Saddam Hussein. See, I can't imagine what was going through the mind of this enemy when they hit us. They probably thought the national religion was materialism, that we were so selfish and so self-absorbed that after 9/11/2001 this mighty nation would take a couple of steps back and file a lawsuit.

 03/16/2003, Dick Cheney, Vice President,
"My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators. . . . I think it will go relatively quickly, . . . [in] weeks rather than months."

The reasons for the Iraq war remain a serious question in Americans mind, closure is still a long way decades away from the Iraq real effect on the United States and the world at large. The immediate effect of over 4000 lives lost, the increasing thousands and thousands of injuries to our troops and their long term or life time care. A financial cost that will reach closer to 2.5 Trillion Dollars on the United States Credit Card creating deficits for the foreseeable future.

Of all the statements above on the reason for the war only one has so far proven to be true, the question is, did our Political leaders lie and take this country to war?.

Electoral College!

Electoral Map red and Blue States

I did not know my vote didn't count, even though I have voted in all Presidential elections since President Nixon, What! and you only discover that Now in 2012? Yes. You are a low information voter or a No information Voter!.

Those are not the circumstances in the most recent election though, of course, No! No! the President  won the Popular Vote, what does that mean? he won more votes nationally than Mitt Romney! Oh.

Did you know Al Gore won more popular votes than George Bush Junior? yes! did you accept the outcome of that election? yes!. Then whats the problem with this Election? I cannot believe the American people re-elect this President, oh, so your frustration is not with the Electoral college then it is with who won! maybe, something like that, just remember you only have one vote, and the important you made it count!.

 United States Electoral College

The United States Electoral College is the institution that officially elects the President and Vice President of the United States every four years. Electors are chosen by each state of the United States and by the District of Columbia, but not by other territorial possessions of the United States (such as Porto Rico). The number of electors in each State is equal to the number of members of Congress to which the State or District of Columbia is entitled. Currently, the total number of electors is 538 - there are 435 representatives and 100 senators, plus the three electors from the District of Columbia. Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the Constitution specifies the number of electors to which each state is entitled and state legislatures decide how they are chosen. The Twenty-third Amendment specifies the number of electors for the District of Columbia.
Voters in each state and the District of Columbia cast ballots selecting electors pledged to presidential and vice presidential candidates. In nearly all states, electors are awarded on a winner-take-all basis to the candidate who wins the most votes in that state. Although no elector is required by federal law to honor a pledge, in the overwhelming majority of cases each elector votes as pledged. The Twelfth Amendment provides for each elector to cast one vote for President and one vote for Vice President. It also specifies how a President and Vice President are elected.
Critics argue that the Electoral College is inherently undemocratic and gives swing states disproportionate influence in electing the President and Vice President. Proponents argue that the Electoral College is an important, distinguishing feature of federalism in the United States and that it protects the rights of smaller states. Numerous constitutional amendments have been introduced in the Congress seeking to alter the Electoral College or replace it with a direct popular vote.

Mitt Romney does no even like the Bushes Dog!

On June 27, 2007, The Boston Globe reported that in 1983 the Romney family strapped the dog in a crate on the roof of the family station wagon and drove 12 hours from Boston to a lake house in Ontario. Somewhere along the way, poor Seamus soiled the crate and the car's back window. As The Globe reported it, Romney stopped at a gas station, hosed down Seamus and the car, put the dog back into the wind-protected kennel and drove on.

Three days later, Globe reporter Michael Levenson wrote that "Time.com's swampland blog has been flooded with more than 300 comments from readers complaining of animal cruelty.

Bo welcome President Obama

Based on the behavior of previous four-legged White House occupants, it is hard to draw too many conclusions. During the George W. Bush presidency, Barney the Scottish terrier had his own Web page on www.whitehouse.gov (which he shared with the Bushes’ other dog, Miss Beasley , and showed his gratitude by biting a Reuters reporter during the administration’s waning days. Socks and Buddy, the Clinton's  cat and dog, drew enough mail that Hillary Rodham Clinton assembled a book of letters, though Socks’s nastiness to Buddy got him gifted to Betty Currie whenthe Clinton's left the White House.

Eyes but cannot See and Ears but hear not

Hurricane Sandy

I truly believe Michele Bachmann was right the Hurricane was a message from God only that she read it wrong. The message was this, and it came to pass,"Ye Republicans you have won an extension of the Bush Tax cut for another 2 years for the richest in our country. In turn you approved 13 weeks unemployment benefits and $1000 Payroll cut for the most vulnerable in our Country.

And it came further to pass ye, Republicans fought  President Obama vociferously to cut all safety net created to Protect the most vulnerable while fighting for more tax break for the Job creators who even under President Bush refuse to create one new Job while shipping Jobs abroad and creating offshore accounts to protect their wealth, my Social conservative Brethren who Pray to me every day, remember I came to Protect the weak, feed the hungry, clothe the naked and heal the sick, aren't those the things I ask of you?.

The Price of Peace is "Change"

Peace Benefit Both
Last week there seemed to be a convenient interpretation of words the President Said,"Israel and the Palestinians should return to the Negotiating Table based on the 1967 Borders with Land Swaps to create secure Borders for Israel" and the creation of a Sovereign nation for the Palestinians. This has always been the basis for negotiations for years but has never been said Publicly before by a sitting US President and never acknowledged by the Israeli Government.

A clear concise and well accepted ground for Peace Negotiations There is NO misunderstanding here, THE PROBLEM IS IT HAS NEVER BEEN SAID PUBLICLY BEFORE AND THAT TOOK COURAGE, the President was being attacked for being courageous.

The Israeli settlements On the west Bank are built on Palestinian Lands illegally and against the wishes of several US Presidents, Bill Clinton, George Bush 1, George Bush 2 the current administration the United Nations and every Nation who really seek peace in the middle East.

Israel against the world continue to expand its settlements on Palestinian Lands, these actions does not contribute to the Peace and Security Israel seek, it contributes the violence and the Arab Nations isolation they endure.

The Troubled middle East
Israel is A Sovereign Nation must be able to live in Peace as the Sovereign Nation it is,this will not happen if Israel continue to create an environment for violence. On the other hand the Palestinians Must be given Sovereign Nation Status and the Palestinians Must recognize Israel as the Sovereign Nation they are and their right to exist.

This Israeli Palestinian conflict continue to increasingly be the modern day David and Goliath encounter. If Israel guarded by its Military might ad unwavering support by the United States for its Security and Peace continues on the current path of Building settlements there is no incentive for Peace.

The middle East is changing Egypt one of Israels only Arab neighboring friends opened

its borders for passage and new opportunities for the People of Gaza this has not happened in 4 years, this one man's reaction to the (Associated Press) on the opening of the border:-

"All we need is to travel like humans, be treated with dignity, and feel like any other citizens of the world who can travel in and out freely," Arafat said. He said he believed the relaxing of travel restrictions "will guarantee more support from all Arabs and Palestinians for the new Egyptian regime."

Things are changing rapidly, we have no control over these changes to affect the changes we must change too.

Jamaican Lingo, Explained - CHACKA- CHACKA

Jamaicans Proud Lingo mi-seh-wah

The Jamaican Lingo a Proud Heritage.

Why Jamaicans so frequently "double-up" their words (Funny)
This is a "good-good" article...refreshingly inspiring and educational and, at the same time, funny.

Scroll down. Maybe you have some more expressions to add to the list.....Enjoy.

Doubling up our words

I would love for someone to explain to me why Jamaicans so frequently "double-up" their words. Has anyone at the University taken the time to study this curious phenomenon?.
Its obvious that some examples of this occurrence are just English words that we've gotten into the habit of saying twice, perhaps for the sake of emphasis. Perhaps it is easier to simply double-up a word than to find additional words to help emphasize or it's a part of a Jamaican penchant for deliberate over-exaggeration in our descriptions of even mundane things.

Other words appear not to be English at all and perhaps may have been passed down to us by our African, English or Spanish ancestors.

Consider the following examples:

Batta batta: To survive or merely get by. E.g. "How yuh stay Ralston?"
"Bwoy Lenny, mi jus deh yah a batta batta inna di recession".

Bumpy-bumpy: Very bumpy. Covered in bumps. e.g. "Gweh! Yuh face bumpy-bumpy like jackfruit!"

Cabba-cabba: Uncivilised people. "Is when Parliament get so full of cabba-cabba?"

Chacka-chacka: Untidy. Disorganized.

Cass-Cass: A noisy quarrel or controversy. (See Ray-ray) Studies have shown that the persons most likely to be involved in Cass-Cass are fool-fool, cabba-cabba people who enjoy the mix-up and ray-ray.

Deadly-Deadly: Unexciting. Boring. Conventional Jamaican wisdom is that deadly-deadly relationships often lead to infidelity. e.g. "Leroy, mi tyad ah the deadly-deadly lovin. If yuh nuh careful yuh ah go find Joe Grind inna yuh life!"
Degeh-degeh: Singly. By itself.

Dibby-dibby: Not worthy of respect. A dibby-dibby girl is best avoided. A dibby-dibby, licky-licky girl should be shunned like the plague.

Dooguh-dooguh: Sexual intercourse. What's popularly known today as "daggering". (Popularly known in places where it hasn't been completely banned by the Broadcasting Commission, that is.)
Fenkeh-fenkeh: Second rate. Lacking vigor or vitality. See pyah-pyah.

-Fool-fool: More than ordinarily foolish. Bush-level stupidity.

Good-good: Pristine, high quality. e.g. "Bwoy is mi good-good scarf yuh tek a shine shoes?!" Or "Imagine! Dis dutty bwoy go breed di parson good-good daughter!"

-Gwaany-gwaany: To be boastful. A show-off.

Henka-henka: To pine for/long for. e.g. "The Olint money gone! It nuh mek sense yuh ah henka-henka after it!"

-Labba-labba: To speak or talk excessively. Also known as "chatty-chatty".

Lay-lay: To waste time, procrastinate. E.g. "Instead of working yuh deh a lay-lay pon thingsjamaicanslove.com a day time!".

Licky-licky: Greedy. Licky-licky people frequently meet tragic ends. e.g. "Is licky-licky him did licky-licky, why Linval go eat off the young Ackee dem an dead".

-Meckeh-meckeh: Thick in texture or consistency.

Nuff nuff: Large/plentiful in number. E.g. "Yow, yuh tink dis recession is a play-play ting? Is nuff-nuff people gwine lose dem work when Government cut public sector jobs".

One-one: Singly. One by one. "Myrtle, yuh nah see Pastor Brown an di church sister dem? Him jus a jus a pick dem off, one-one; like ripe mango offa di tree!" There is also "two bi two".

Play-play: Not serious or meaningful in nature. E.g. "Junior, mi tyad of the play-play relationship. Why we can't get married?".

-Pyah-pyah: Second rate. Of inferior quality. See fenkeh-fenkeh

-Ray-ray: Controversy, pandemonium.

Sawka-sawka: To treat roughly, often in a sexual context. e.g. "No Elva, last night mi haffi stop him half way through an ask him how him a sawka- sawka di ting so!".

-Wagga-wagga: Fat. Obese. The other end result of licky-licky behavior.

-Walla-walla: To wallow or indulge in.

Warra-warra: The definition of "warra-warra" is a little hard to pin down but it seems to refer to a person's "private parts". As in: "Dutty bwoy, don't mek ah tell yuh bout yuh warra-warra!" Or "Move yuh warra-warra from side ah mi".

Woi-woi: Far away. Remote.
(N.B. Sometimes we even "triple-up" our words - e.g. "I can't believe him leave you and the baby without a penny? Jus so-so so?).

The Jamaican talk is also reflected in its Music.Famous Reggae Artists like Bob Marley use much of the Jamaican lingo in his music. While Jamaican lingo May seem to be difficult to understand by some It it is a part of its deep proud culture.

Just as the developed world celebrates the magnificence of its cultural mix. Jamaicans are extremely proud of its English, Spanish, African and Irish background where its language and heritage came from.
