Immigration Reform - the Cost

                                                                                                                                                                                 May 6, 2013  Chapter one
Heritage Foundation Estimate,
The conservative Heritage Foundation has issued a scathing report against the immigration reform bill proposed by the Senate’s “Gang of Eight,” arguing that the bill would cost more than $6 trillion Dollars a claim summarily rejected by Republicans pushing for the bill.

Gang of Eight by-Party Senators “It probably understates real future costs because it under counts the number of unlawful immigrants and dependents who will actually receive amnesty and underestimates significantly the future growth in welfare and medical benefits,” Rechtor and Richwine write. The report states that legalizing current illegal immigrants would cost $9.4 trillion over a lifetime and pay just $3.1 trillion in taxes, resulting in a net cost of $6.3 trillion. And the authors of the study, Robert Rechtor and Jason Richwine, say that’s a conservative estimate.
                                                 ------------------------------------------------

Thursday, June 20
Chapter Two
In a new report by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) that estimates the fiscal and economic impact of the immigration reform legislation taking shape in the Senate. Not surprisingly, budget analysts found that a net increase of 10.4 million people living in the United States over the next decade, and an increase of 16 million over 20 years, would be a tremendous shot in the arm.

The CBO found that over the next decade direct spending would increase by $262 billion if, among other measures, the Senate immigration bill is passed, opening a path to citizenship for many of the 11 million immigrants now in the United States illegally. But at the same time, the CBO calculated that with so many more people working, revenues would soar by $459 billion over the same decade; the federal deficit would go down by almost $200 billion. Likewise, the CBO found the legislation would boost the country’s overall economic output by 3.3 percent over the next decade, and by 5.4 percent over two decades, compared to what it would be without reform.

On Thursday June 20th, Republican senators reportedly made progress in formulating a security plan that would satisfy enough border hawks to ensure passage of a bill. We worry about the price, in dollars and unneeded infrastructure; but the main thing is to keep moving toward a bill that will bring most of these hard workers out of the shadows.

The OCCUPY Movement 99% is waiting!

No victory for Occupy yet!

We can succeed only by concert. It is not,"Can you imagine better?" but "Can we all do better?" Object whatsoever is possible, still the question recurs, "Can we do better?". The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must dis-enthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country. Every victory comes with sacrifice, What is your sacrifice

Occupy wall Street is about the future!

While the Mayor New York changed the Law to get himself elected for a third term the mayor filled with his own hypocrisy has become the Prime supporter of the 1% him being a member of the one percent himself. How much have things changed for Mayor

The Occupy Movement  is about Fairness, Not Grudge!

95 percent of all Americans work for someone in the last 30 years the salary's and benefits of the top 1% has seen their income rise by 275%- 305% .in easy to understand language any  who valued  million Dollars thirty years ago is now 300 Million Dollars notwithstanding all the negative effects on our Economy.

Walmart among the 99%

Most Walmart workers are only able to work in their store because they get benefit like medicaid and food stamps from the Government, essencially the Government is now paying health care and food walmart for Walmart workers. One member of the walmart family earm more than 62 million americans last year with their wealth stached in a Bank accounts in a foreign countries and taxpayers pay for their workers healthcare and food.

Factoring in what taxpayers contribute for public programs, the report estimated that one Wal-Mart supercenter employing 300 workers could cost taxpayers at least $904,000 annually.

At the end of 2012, there were 3,216 Wal-Mart employees who were enrolled in Wisconsin public health care programs, more than any other employer. Add in the dependents of Wal-Mart workers and the total jumps up to 9,207.

CEOs Join's the President on Tax Increases.

"With their votes, the American people determined that governing will now be a shared responsibility between parties,"

Obama Calls for Revenue-Neutral Corporate Tax Reform

The CEO's, in a statement to be released on Thursday, say any fiscal plan "that can succeed both financially and politically" has to limit the growth of health-care spending, make Social Security solvent and "include comprehensive and pro-growth tax reform, which broadens the base, lowers rates, raises revenues and reduces the deficit."

The CEO's who signed the
manifesto deem tax increases inevitable no matter which party succeeds at the polls in November. "There is no possible way; you can do the arithmetic a million different ways" to avoid raising taxes, said Mark Bertolini, CEO of Aetna. "You can't tax your way to fix this problem, and you can't cut entitlements enough to fix this problem."

"With their votes, the American people determined that governing will now be a shared responsibility between parties," Obama said, referring to the 2010 midterm elections. "New laws will only pass with support from Democrats and Republicans. We will move forward together, or not at all -- for the challenges we face are bigger than party, and bigger than politics."

Mitt Romney, "Big Business Doing Fine"!

Romney, Big Business doing fine!
This is not a Gaffe, Mitt Romney telling supporters, "Big Business are doing fine" every American knows this, most of us work for these Big Businesses and as Public Companies we see the profits every Month.

The other reality is we also see how those Profits are gained on the backs of the workers most of them part Time employees working 16-24 hours per week without benefits including vacation, sick leave and any of the other relief earned by these employees year after year. Health care relief that is at hand comes from the Affordable Care Act that President Obama singed into Law and takes effect in 2014.

"Mitt Romney has vowed to Repeal the affordable Care Act but, Mitt Romney will not repeal the health care Bill. The idea if the Affordable Care Act is the vision of Mitt Romney having signed a similar Law as Governor of Massachusetts giving 98% of its residents health Care".

In his first effort to tack back to the center Mitt Romney has admitted what most Republicans know but would try to hide from the American People saying recently:-

"I'm going to champion small business. We've got to make it easier for small businesses. Big business is doing fine in many places -– they get the loans they need, they can deal with all the regulation. They know how to find ways to get through the tax code, save money by putting various things in the places where there are low tax havens around the world for their businesses. But small business is getting crushed". These are Mitt Romney's words throwing out the core idea of his campaign against the current President.

Mitt Romney admitting that Big business have gotten the loans they need and can deal with the regulations was at the core of Mitt Romney's reason for Running for President. Having now agreeing with President Obama that, Big Business the Private Sector are fine, they have the money, they are capable of dealing with the regulations then the Mitt Romney run for President is now an empty campaign.

"You People"

Ann Romney
"We have given all you people need to know and that's all you will be getting", Ann Romney speaking to Robin Roberts about her Husbands Tax Returns. Mitt Romney was not asked to run for the office of President of the United States he put himself forward claiming he is the best candidate because of his business experience. If successful and Mitt Romney become President he will be making policy determining when and under what circumstances US citizens Tax returns should be presented.

One of the long custom in vetting Presidential Candidates is that they declare their Tax Returns for a number of years. Mr Mitt Romney is a successful businessman, a part of that success comes from Tax breaks for investors and other preferences entrepreneurs enjoy when the invest in the United States Economy.

Having enjoyed the benefits of The United States Tax system and achieved Americans ultimate dream "wealth and lots of it" Mitt Romney now refers to The rest of Americans as, "you people" a condescending term reserved for minorities but now "you people" a term of endearment that separateness the American elite or 1% as exposed by Mrs Ann Romney.

I have been thinking about this. Saying "you people" to a white person does not seem any less racist than saying it to a black person or any other group.

Budget Is 'Poison Pill'! testy exchange in Parliament.

Portia Simpson Prime Minister

Andrew Holness speaking in Parliament on as Leader of the opposition Jamaica on the 2012-2013 Budget  the new measures of taxing basic food items were "poison" and had the effect of further impoverishing the poor, "killing businesses" and reducing growth in the economy. "Madam Prime Minister, you played to the fears and vulnerability of the poor and told them you could do better. The people believed you and gave you power ... . With this tax package, the people are slowly coming to the view that you have deceived them".

In a sotto voce comment, a seemingly agitated Simpson Miller charged: "You wreck the economy and put us in this position. I will deal with you on Tuesday. Rubbish!"

"United States has a big glut of crude oil sitting in the middle of the country"

Remove all regulations, give the Private sector what they want, government should get out of their way. Give the Private sector American Land, American waterways and American Territorial waters to let them drill! drill! drill!. The result an oversupply of American Produced Oil and rising Gasoline Prices!

Reuters
Right now, the United States has a big glut of crude oil sitting in the middle of the country, and no easy way to move it. The combination of surging production from Canada's tar sands and North Dakota's Bakken region has overwhelmed the existing pipelines to the Gulf of Mexico, where it would ordinarily be refined and shipped onto the global market. As a result, the price of American and Canadian crude oil is trading at a steep discount to varieties from elsewhere in the world. After all, with fewer potential customers, oil buyers can dictate friendlier prices. West Texas Intermediate, which is traditionally considered a benchmark variety of crude used to price other types, is selling for about $106 a barrel. But according to Oil Price Information Service analyst Tom Kloza, oil from North Dakota has recently been selling for around $83 a barrel. Canadian crude has been trading for even less.

The United States is producing more oil right now than any other time in its history, The US oil and Gas consumption is at its lowest at any time in the past 10 years. There are millions of Barrels of Oil sitting all over the United States creating this surplus of Oil. Our refineries are running below capacity because the Oil companies refuse to bring these refineries up to maximum capacity. By the way these refineries were built in part by Tax Payers money on the very promise that if the government help to build these refineries the oil companies will be able to deliver gasoline cheaper.

There are many or all parts of this sinerio ordinary Americans like me seem not to be able to understand, it makes me feel stupid just to think that when we have lots of oil the price of gasoline goes up anyway. I used to think that if there is an over supply of a commodity  in the case of oil and there is less demand then price goes down. That used to be  Econ-101  and the way things are supposed to work in a normal free market society, as it currently is in the United States the beacon of free enterprise. But, there is nothing Normal about how things are in the US anymore, there is a place called Wall Street that the brightest people in the world work  and because of technology these people do not even have to be at wall Street to work there.
About $1.20 of  the cost of a gallon of gas is speculation.

Companies like Goldman Sacks according to Reuters, " Goldman Sachs is now urging investors to go long on American crude futures. In other words, the bank is telling it's customers to buy cheap while they still can". That means although America is producing more cheap oil than it ever has but the market is now and has been for some time controlled by speculators on wall street who through saber-rattling and corporate and political propaganda are able to create instability in the market place  and drive up the price of Oil. The people who produce Oil and Gasoline does not anymore make money from the Oil Production itself but from the rigging of the market place and Political gamesmanship.

About $1.20 of from the price of each gallon of gasoline or oil based product purchased today has nothing to do with oil production and delivery at the Pump but with speculation by men in suits in offices who has never seen Oil Sands, never been on a rig would never be seen around oil production or delivery but hedge their bets on finding a way to deliver gasoline to the marketplace at the highest cost bleeding consumers of the last penny and some making themselves richer and even further removed from the plight of the people around them and the country they proclaim they love.

Get Money Out of Politics

Dylan Rattigan is a  Popular talk show Host and has dedicated some time to Get Money Out of Politics through Constitutional Changes

Today we face a crushing burden of foreclosures, dropping incomes, and a financial elite that has bought our government. The elite consensus is powerful enough to prevent change, no matter who is elected. The situation seems, at least in electoral terms, hopeless. Yet, America has been here before, and has shown remarkable resilience in the darkest of times.

Wall Street from New York Harbor

So just how do we get the debate we deserve? How do we root out the corruption, greed, and fraud in our system? Clearly, the root of much evil in our system of government comes from the financing of political campaigns by powerful interests. And the Supreme Court has said that money is speech, and thus, protected by the Constitution. So we must pass a Constitutional amendment to speak back to the Supreme Court, and assert the primacy of government by the people.

Eyes but cannot See and Ears but hear not

Hurricane Sandy

I truly believe Michele Bachmann was right the Hurricane was a message from God only that she read it wrong. The message was this, and it came to pass,"Ye Republicans you have won an extension of the Bush Tax cut for another 2 years for the richest in our country. In turn you approved 13 weeks unemployment benefits and $1000 Payroll cut for the most vulnerable in our Country.

And it came further to pass ye, Republicans fought  President Obama vociferously to cut all safety net created to Protect the most vulnerable while fighting for more tax break for the Job creators who even under President Bush refuse to create one new Job while shipping Jobs abroad and creating offshore accounts to protect their wealth, my Social conservative Brethren who Pray to me every day, remember I came to Protect the weak, feed the hungry, clothe the naked and heal the sick, aren't those the things I ask of you?.
