Retailers must understand their employees are also their customers, no longer does the middle class have disposable income to support the excesses of the recent past, shoppers are now more sophisticated and conscious while spending money and narrowing it to only where

Businesses are aware of about 80% of the dollars in the economy daily, weekly and those dollar's are now only meeting the bare essentials of the consumer especially with the price of food and travel accounting for almost 60% of each paycheck there is now a different consumer one driven by meeting daily essentials rather than shopping deals that does not help the family or meet an immediate need.

That different consumer is also the result of the excesses of the past where credit was abused by consumer as well as businesses and came to a crashing head in 2008-2009 with especially the effects of the housing market. There is always the notion that as soon as things get better human beings return to their old habits in this case the fears that consumers face and reality of families loosing their homes have had some effect on the physic American consumer and things are changing shopping deals are no longer good deals.

The failure of Business in the past to acknowledge that its their employees who actively run their business is a seething factor, companies ask for loyalty but become less loyal to its employees every day while asking work harder without additional compensation. These factors are borne out in the recent and continued Job Actions by Walmart employees and other Retail workers, the silence of Big Business to the plight of workers and workers advocate is disrespectful and does not help to allay the fears of workers who business depend on for their success everyday.

Most Walmart workers are only able to work in their store because they get benefit like medicaid and food stamps from the Government, essencially the Government is now paying health care and food walmart for Walmart workers. At the end of 2012, there were 3,216 Wal-Mart employees who were enrolled in Wisconsin public health care programs, more than any other employer. Add in the dependents of Wal-Mart workers and the total jumps up to 9,207.

It's bad enough when American tax dollars are blown on government-created debacles such as Solyndra and "Operation Fast and Furious." But at least in those instances the expenditures carried a bare modicum of democratic legitimacy.

What if, on the other hand, the U.S. Treasury was raided for billions of dollars, which were then redistributed to the rest of the world by an international bureaucracy headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica?

That's what will surely happen if the U.S. Senate gives its advice and consent to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, a deeply flawed treaty that was rejected by President Ronald Reagan in 1982. (The treaty was revived by President Bill Clinton, who sent it to the Senate in 1994. It has languished there ever since.) The Barack Obama administration is pushing for United States Senate action on the treaty, and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., is currently scheduling a series of hearings to extol the purported benefits of LOST, the first of which is set for May 23.

Of course, the vampire must feed, and its sustenance is American dollars, sucked out of the U.S. Treasury by a provision of LOST known as Article 82. If the U.S. joins LOST, it will be required by Article 82 to forfeit royalties generated from oil and gas development on the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles — an area known as the "extended continental shelf" (ECS).

"Target Closes Store to Kill Union Action"

While the Nation await the final ruling of the Federal Judge at the National Labor Relations Board Target elect to close the Valley Stream Target Store that is in dispute. Target operates over 1400 Stores in the United States and is in the process of claiming international Retail Market Share with its purchase of over 100 Zellers Store's in Canada.

The Canadians at Zellers  who follow the developments through Targetchangeny.com a community website set up by United Food and commercial Workers International Union  to highlight plight of the workers at the Target Valley Stream Store and Target corporation in general.

One of the things Zeller's workers should be fore warned is that nothing should be taken for granted and do not believe your government the Union or most of all Target Corporation.Get real legal representation, do not allow Target to make promises they will not over time keep. Target will lie to you, get your trust and then take the rug from under your feet.

Ten months ago Target ensured the workers at the Target valley stream store that under no circumstances would the Corporation close the Store and today the valley stream Target Store is Closed and the workers who participated in trying to have Union Representation have been fired by Target. These actions were not taken by Target in a vacuum, this is retaliation they were done to send the clear message to Target workers that anyone who even attempt to seek legal representation will be dealt with ferociously by Target Corporation.

Corporations like Target are now insulated from Government actions even the Federal Court as seen in this action by Target. The matter of the Valley Stream Target Store is Still before the National Labor  Relations Board a federal Court and Target upended the Courts decision and close the store. There was testimony before the Court by Target Corporation that the Company had no intention to close the Store. Target operates over 1400 Stores ac cross the United States and over the past 3 years the Target Corporation have expanded or improved about 50% of those Stores to accommodate its new Pfresh  expansion.

Target is now using Pfresh expansion as a justification for the closure of the Target Valley Stream Store. In testimony before the National Labor  Relations Board Target failed to disclose their intention to close the Valley Stream Store. On April 29th when the Valley Stream Store was Closed Target still did not have the relevant Building Permits to start the expansion they claim they intend to do. Target does not operate like that, this is an efficient company and would not close a store for expansion without relevant Building Permits in hand."The Valley Stream Target Store was closed to bring the death Nail of the Union action to an end and send a message to Target workers we will do whatever it takes to keep Unions out of our Stores" a pledge that Target has always held dear.

The Valley Stream Target Store Gross over $2,000,000 million Dollars in weekly Sales Target Corporation is willing to Sacrifice those sales to Break the Union action and they have done that by closing the Store. The action of Target is representative of the other retailers like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's and all the other Big and small retailers who decides, "the rights that workers have is what they the Corporations allow them".

Target Team Members Vote for Union

On Friday Team Members of Target Valley Stream will vote to Unionize, the Team Members will win this vote against Target Corporation becoming the first Target Store in the Nation to have a say in how they are treated at work and not left to the harsh realities set by Target.

These courageous Team Members had enough of Targets Corporate Welfare behavior where they give these hard working Team members 6-8 hour a week in order to keep their average weekly hours to a minimum in order not to qualify for benefits such as medical, paid vacation, holiday with pay and bereavement benefits and college reimbursements.

Target Corporation offer all these benefits and they look good and attractive when you apply for a Job at Target but because of Targets Practices less than 2% of the Employees at Target qualify for these Benefits.

Target Boast that they are an Equal Opportunity Employer that is so far from the truth, there are a lot of opportunities at Target but those who enjoy them are the chosen few. Having a Union may not change all the ills at Target but will certainly give the Team Members a greater say in how Qualified Team Members are Promoted and how the available hours in the Store is dispensed.

Target continue to Threaten its Team Members in all its Stores in New York if they Join a Union they will Close the Stores, By LAW TARGET CANNOT CLOSE THE VALLEY STREAM STORE BECAUSE THE TEAM VOTE TO UNIONIZE THEY WOULD HAVE TO CLOSE ALL THEIR IN NEW YORK.

The Team members at Target Valley Stream has all the Printed Press in New York on their side, the broadcast Press especially CBS has ignored this Story continuing to rake in advertising Dollars at the cost of Targets Team Members.

This Friday REAL CHANGE WILL COME the Valley Stream Store Target Team Members will vote they WILL WIN Target will win too, Target will for the first acknowledge there was always things they haven't done right and the People who work matters too.
