Everyone is entitled to their opinion as you said. However, you sound very negative. By the sound of it you are not even in Jamaica, so how can you speak for what is happening now as opposed to when you were here? If it is oh so good why did you leave? Food costs in Jamaica are not very different from those in America. The Price for food is only better in the $ stores or when there is a sale. I have done the comparison. 

The salary scale, on the other hand, bears no comparison and that will need to change for people to manage a bit better. The majority of Jamaicans are tired of going to the supermarket and being barely able to purchase basic necessities. They hope that the change will be for the better. That is important; HOPE. The minute there is no hope in any of the parties then all is lost. The PNP were confident that the Jamaican people liked what they were doing to us and the country based on how long we have allowed them to run the country.

Most people did not vote in JLP because of the promises they made but to get a change, different perspectives for better or worst. The ruling party, whether PNP or JLP, need to be aware that they work for us and if they do not perform then goodbye.We all need to not vote at all if we are unsatisfied with the representation offered and not just vote to get a particular party in. For that matter, as a part of this wonderful democratic process, we should be able to nominate our MPs instead of those stupid die-hearted party delegates. Allegiance to a party name is stupid as the country is run by individuals. Does anyone notice how they jump from one party to the other at the drop of a hat?     by $450 billion to $6.4 trillion in June 2002;

    by $850 billion to $9.815 trillion 18 months later, in September 2007;

These Countries they have not allowed their Students to be saddled by Loans and other Debts  rather subsidized their Education up to a first Degree in return for voluntary service".  In America some Politicians advocate students Education should become Pawns of of the Banks before they earn a penny in their profession". 

President Obama removed a part of this extra financial obligation by taking away the Student Loan disbursement from the Banks saving Students $6 Billion Dollars in interest and fees. These actions were seen as a Negative by some Elements of the Republican Party including Representative Todd Aiken referring to the move as, "Stage III cancer of socialism"  as a result of the Presidents action more than 7.4 million students currently hold affordable student loans at a 3.4 percent interest rate.

Rep Todd Akin compared student loans to Stage III cancer: "America has got the equivalent of the Stage III cancer of socialism because the federal government is tampering in all kinds of stuff it has no business tampering in. So, first to answer your question precisely. What the democrats did to get rid of the private student loans and take it all over by the government was wrong. It was a lousy bill. That's why I voted no. The government needs to get its nose out of the education business."

"The Banks should be allowed to participate in students Loan but their rates should be reasonable and affordable. Like the Government the Private sector has a role to play in the Education of our Students and that does not include unreasonable Loan Rates and fees saddling them with long term debts to enrich themselves".

I did not know my vote didn't count, even though I have voted in all Presidential elections since President Nixon, What! and you only discover that Now in 2012? Yes. You are a low information voter or a No information Voter!.

Those are not the circumstances in the most recent election though, of course, No! No! the President  won the Popular Vote, what does that mean? he won more votes nationally than Mitt Romney! Oh.

Did you know Al Gore won more popular votes than George Bush Junior? yes! did you accept the outcome of that election? yes!. Then whats the problem with this Election? Clear channel has decided to rescind the rental of its Billboards to an unnamed family after pressure from Bloggerythm and numerous other Publications Clear Channel has decided to do the right thing releasing this statement:-

In the wake of complaints that the billboards’ true purpose was to intimidate minority voters from casting fully legal votes, the billboards are now being pulled down. Clear Channel Outdoor, which rented the billboard space to an unnamed family foundation, explained that they decided to remove the billboards because they “violate our policy of not accepting anonymous political ads.” Clear Channel also agreed to donate 10 billboards that will display a counter-message clarifying that voting is a right and not a crime:

We have decided not to remove our original Blog but to acknowledge the actions taken by Clear channel attempting to right a wrong.

We applaud Clear channel for doing the right thing and hope the Citizens and voters of the communities affected feel some vindication as a result of these actions by Clear Channel.

Major Voter Fraud discovered in Cleveland, Billboards Owned by "Clear Channel Communications" leased to unknown persons who Clear Channel Communications has contractual agreement not to disclose their names a condition contrary to the behavior of Public companies has drawn the attention of some public officials.

State Senator Nina Turner said, "these signs have only been posted in areas where blacks, Hispanics, and the poor live". She said she believes they're meant to intimidate voters.

A Clear Channel spokesman said the billboard ads were paid for by a private family foundation from out of state. He said they weren't meant to attack any individual or group; nor do they represent the views of Clear Channel in any way.

Vote it's your Right!

Voting is not a Black or White issue voting is your right, Americans die on the Battlefield in Vietnam  Somalia and most recently over 4200 Americans died in Iraq and another 2000 Americans have died and and is still dying in Afghanistan for their Citizens right to vote. Here in America Clear Channel Corporation engaged in a contractual agreement allowing their Billboards to be used for Voter intimidation. In their own words Clear Channel has said the Billboards in Cleveland are Posted by a Private Family foundation from out of State.

Clear Channel is defending itself by saying  that these Billboards weren't meant to attack any particular Group, but by their very location as seen in the map above these billboards are placed in minority areas who vote for  the Democratic Party. That explanation by clear Channel is, Hogwash, Bullshit and should be held accountable for enjoining a Private foundation to interfere with voters in an election.

Bay County has found eight suspicious forms with the Republican Party registration code connected to Strategic Allied. In Pasco County, three have been found.

The Team have held together under severe pressure from Target Valley Stream and Target Corporation. Target used all the tools they have to intimidate the Team members and dicourage the Team their legitimate Right to seek Union Representation. That has not worked.

The methods Target Valley Stream used only created further hostility and has pushed Team Members who were on the fencw to become definate supporters of the Labor action. Target went as far as to Threaten that they close the Valley Stream Store if the Team Members Vote to have Union Representation. TARGET KNOWS IF THEY CLOSE THE VALLEY STREAM STORE BECAUSE OF UNION ACTION THEY WILL HAVE TO CLOSE ALL THEIR STORES IN NEW YORK the Team knows that Target was giving them the BULLS.

The Team continue to seek the support of everyone, keep the pressure up this is a courageous group of Workers fighting for decent and liveable hourly wage, to be paid for extra for working on Holidays, paid Vacation not after working 1000 hours as is the current Practice by Target.

After years of low wages and a meaningless Job opportunity the Team at the Valley Stream Target Store will Vote on JUNE 17TH to have Union representation.This is unprecedented for Target Corporation who have been under the radar and presenting themselves as a great place to work.

Of course Target do hire and train the best they can hire at minimum wage, the Team respond under duress to provide the best environment for the guest who visit their these well kept Stores.

It is difficult to complain about the quality of service in these Target Stores when you can find a Team member.Target must realise that 4-16 hours a week at minimum wage cannot feed a family or help their hard working Team members who attend college.

Team members must be paid holiday wage when when required to work on these important Retail Sales days, Team members must be paid a reasonable wage for work,Team Members will not be denied benefits by suppression of the number of hours they work while their availability is being suppressed by Target.

The Team Members at the Valley Stream Target Store will have a Union as of June 17th, this is a courageous Team and they will WIN!
