Everyone is entitled to their opinion as you said. However, you sound very negative. By the sound of it you are not even in Jamaica, so how can you speak for what is happening now as opposed to when you were here? If it is oh so good why did you leave? Food costs in Jamaica are not very different from those in America. The Price for food is only better in the $ stores or when there is a sale. I have done the comparison. 

The salary scale, on the other hand, bears no comparison and that will need to change for people to manage a bit better. The majority of Jamaicans are tired of going to the supermarket and being barely able to purchase basic necessities. They hope that the change will be for the better. That is important; HOPE. The minute there is no hope in any of the parties then all is lost. The PNP were confident that the Jamaican people liked what they were doing to us and the country based on how long we have allowed them to run the country. 

Changing Posture of Jamaica's Electorate

Most people did not vote in JLP because of the promises they made but to get a change, different perspectives for better or worst. The ruling party, whether PNP or JLP, need to be aware that they work for us and if they do not perform then goodbye.We all need to not vote at all if we are unsatisfied with the representation offered and not just vote to get a particular party in. For that matter, as a part of this wonderful democratic process, we should be able to nominate our MPs instead of those stupid die-hearted party delegates. Allegiance to a party name is stupid as the country is run by individuals. Does anyone notice how they jump from one party to the other at the drop of a hat? We are yet to see what Andrew can or cannot do. We already know what Portia can, cannot and will be doing if they continue to pressure her. Let's hope for the best for Jamaica. Patrece Lammie

He made the comments immediately after declaring Monday “day one” of the party’s push to change perceptions the audit uncovered that the Republicans are “narrow minded,” unwilling to grant other people social rights or to accept other viewpoints narrow-minded

 people who feared social change.> “out of touch” and “stuffy old men.”

“The perception that we’re the party of the rich unfortunately continues to grow,” Priebus said as he released the report, drawn up by panelists with ties to “big-tent” Republicans who have long favored more inclusive policies opposed by ideological purists.

I am a voter who always want to be well informed, I cannot avoid the Election ads on my Television in Long Island. I did not know much about Randy Altschuler so I did some research through Google and went to Wikipedia. I am now well informed about Randy Altschuler and extremely respectful of his achievements but Randy could not get my vote first as a Long Islander and then an American.

Randolph "Randy" Brody Altschuler (born December 8, 1970) is an American businessman and politician. He was the Republican Party candidate for Congress in New York's 1st Congressional District in 2010. Altschuler is currently running for Congress from New York's 1st Congressional District for the second time after his slim loss in 2010.

In 1999, Randy Altschuler and Princeton classmate Joseph Sigelman started Office Tiger, a business process outsourcing company (BPO) that performs back office support services for American companies.As of July 2005, Business Week magazine reported that Office Tiger was the only successful start-up in India’s outsourcing industry owned and managed by U.S. entrepreneurs.

With RR Donnelley acquisition of Office Tiger from Altschuler and Sigelman in March 2006 for $250 million, and its combination by Donnelly with another Donnelley acquisition, Aston BPO, by September 2006, Office Tiger expanded to 29 offices and 42 client locations across nine countries and employed 4,000 people in India, 4,000 in Europe, 1,000 in Sri Lanka, 750 in the United States, and 300 in the Philippines. Altschuler has claimed Office Tiger is not a traditional outsourcing company, but rather one whose overseas employees "enhance the services and jobs that Americans are doing here domestically." Later in the interview, he contends, "You want the professionals here doing different kinds of things than he or she is doing today. Office Tiger allows them to take some of the more traditional tasks and outsource that offshore." 

In 2001 he co-founded an electronic waste (e-waste), recycling company Cloud Blue Technologies, which is based in, Norcross Georgia, having moved there in 2011 from Alpharetta GA. Altschuler serves as the company’s executive chairman and works out of their Port Jefferson, NY offices.

 Altschuler was awarded membership in the exclusive GOP "Young Guns", a select group of young candidates chosen by Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy.

Baby Politics! Who Scares me?

The contrast how Kids see the 2 candidates running for President may be the difference in the Election, children don't vote their parents do, especially mothers "Baby Politics" could be the decider. We try to reflect how babies respond to our presidential candidates and the most memorable moments over the past eighteen months.  

Like most Americans up to now Mitt Romney is a mystery and this child may be reflecting those sentiments. A little scared of the man who want to be President and make decisions on my education, grandmas social security, repeal the affordable care act taking health insurance coverage from 19 million Americans while not telling us any specific how you are going to do these things that scares me Mr Romney. 

Playing Baby Politics is dangerous in a military family, thousands of American children are born to military families every year especially while the father is deployed, a very difficult situation for the mother in labor and a worst situation for the father who may be on the Battle field the moment of birth. These military families reflect a part of the 47% that Mitt Romney described as not talking responsibility for their themselves because soldiers pay no Taxes while in deploy. 

Military wives and military children and babies should never be thought of as, "47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what, "there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing.” 

Military families does not really believe this, the fact is the Romney family has never demonstrated in any way  willingness to defend this country in uniform. No member of the Romney Family has ever served the Militarily. Mitt Romney's father did not serve the military neither did Mitt Romney's or his five sons serve in the military, who then believe they are entitled?. The Romney's have used every opportunity afforded by this country to become successful while ignoring service and defending the very pillar on which their wealth is built.

Baby whisperer

 President Obama since in office have had some unique moments with children especially babies, he has been called a baby whisperer on several occasions. If voting for either of these candidates depended on how children respond to them publicly President Obama probably would win hands down. We do not vote on a child's momentary reaction because as parents our young ones have their moments even with us.

Deafening Silence!

A young man armed with an Assault weapon with a Magazine capable of carrying 42  Rounds of Ammunition walked business like into a Crowded Cinema in Aurora, Colorado released what is thought to be some kind of Chemical then raised his weapon and started wantonly shooting innocent citizens. Since the barrage of Gun fire stopped there has been, silence! a unbearable silence by the National Political Leaders in our Country and the National Rifle Association defender of Gun rights. The Lone recognizable voice to raise the Question of Gun Control is the Mayor of New York City, His Honor Mr Bloomberg,  Mayor Bloomberg's call for engaging the Country in a conversation is not new, but the mayor is no longer running for Public Office.

The organisation responsible for the shooting, the National Rifle Association has declined Public comment on the brutal slaughter of 12 innocent Citizens and various degrees of  injury to 59 other people. The injury is not only those physically inflicted by this 24 year old young man, the injury to the relatives including mothers and fathers, wives and girlfriends, sons and daughters, the immediate Aurora community and the further stain on this Nations  recklessness with guns. It  is evident that this has further imprisoned the citizens of this country not knowing, where and when it is safe for a family to spend an evening free of fear.

The National Rifle Association by its silence is admitting its Policy to put the false need for assault weapons as recreational firearm has caused serious harm to the Physic of this Nation. If the National Rifle Association thought Assault weapons in the hands of Citizens was a necessity for recreation they would be making Public statements condemning the use of Assault weapons in the Colorado Shooting. But their silence speaks Volume!

"The National Rifle Association cannot defend a AR7 Rifle as a recreation Firearm. The Leadership of the National Rifle Association is embarrassed by the most recent Colorado Massacre and in keeping with the 65% of Americans, must release your Republican congressional Captives to renew the Assault weapons Ban and support commonsense Firearm Legislation".

President Obama flew to Colorado to be with some victims of this horrific crime and their families, the minimum a President could do under the circumstances, granted the President is also running for  re-election. This President has not shown the kind of Leadership expected on the matter of Gun Control even after the Gabby Gifford shooting. Mitt Romney who singed into Law an Assault Weapons ban while Governor of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts walked back his unyielding support for this courageous Law now that he is running for President as the Republican candidate.

The NRA will continue its happy dance avoiding questions until Americans forget this horrific crime committed at the hand of someone who purchased Firearm and Ammunition's without a trace.

This is what happens in Dark Rooms by administrators, corporate heads and Boards designed to protect the public interest but today are appointed by the people whose interest the public should be protected from therefore the public interest is sold, bartered and compromised. 

What happen in Dark Rooms sometimes come to light

The Rape of Boys by at Penn State and subsequent cover up was conducted in Dark Rooms on the Campus of Penn State by the University Board of Trustees and Heads of Faculty. With knowledge of the various sexual assault on Boys by Jerry Sandusky from testimony during the investigation by the District attorney, the subsequent trial and now the Freeh report is more damming than expected,saying in part, “The most saddening finding by the Special Investigative Counsel is the total and consistent disregard by the most senior leaders at Penn State for the safety and welfare of Sandusky’s child victims.”

 The matters best discussed and decisions taken are based on the Sandusky inquiry and subsequent conviction are those of Public interest. Mr Mitt Romney refuse to tell the American people weather or not his investment in Foreign countries of Cayman Islands, Bermuda or European Country of Switzerland met US Tax Laws obligations. Mr Mitt Romney continue to hide those matters in Dark Rooms from Bermuda to Switzerland refusing to level with the citizens of the United States he aspire to lead as their President.

Mr Mitt Romney continue to hide the details of his eventual Economic Policy in Dark Rooms intending to surprise the Nation with its details sometime after his success in the general Elections this November. Having seen the result of hiding and making decisions in the Dark Rooms of Penn State University in the Sandusky case Americans should be skeptical and demand to know what Mitt Romney intend to do if he were to be successful in the November Elections.

MIDDLE CLASS forced into New Posture

 From 26% unemployment or under employment, one trillion dollars in student Loans due, unprecedented Home foreclosure, Wall Street and the Banks praying on the public.

Middle class under attack

There are two Classes of workers in America  the middle Class the real growth engine of the economy and and the investor Class with access to capital who claim by some to be the,  "Job Creators". Today the middle class is in disarray and without Jobs medical coverage and loosing their homes. The Job Creators are sitting on the sidelines with over Three trillion dollars in Cash  complaining that there is too much uncertainty so the environment is not conducive to investment. The continued growth of the stock market and Corporate America reporting Record Profits debunk that myth and does not represent a poor investment climate. Ronald Reagan began to destroy the Middle Class in the 1980s attacking unions and any means of representation the middle Class had by the arbitrary firing of Air Traffic controllers who were exercising their legitimate right to strike.

  

. The tearing down of the middle class exploded after the 2010 Congressional and Local Elections effected by newly elected Republican Governors, Democrat Governors in conservative States and Republicans in congress and the Senate under the Phony Banner of balancing State Budgets. With forceful Legislative actions like those taken in the States of Wisconsin by Governor Scott walker and Ohio By Governor John Kasic.These Governors while taking benefits from Public sector workers gave enormous Tax cuts to the millionaires who funded their Elections.

Michael Norman Manley ON OCC (December 10, 1924 – March 6, 1997) was the fourth Prime Minister of Jamaica (1972–1980, 1989–1992). Manley was a democratic socialist.

The second son of Jamaica's Premier Norman Washington Manley and Jamaican artist Edna Manley, Michael Manley was a charismatic figure who became the leader of the Jamaican People's National Party a few months before his father's death in 1969.

Manley defeated unpopular incumbent Prime Minister Hugh Shearer (his cousin) in the election of 1972 on the platform of "Better must come", "Giving power to the people" and leading "a government of truth".

Manley instituted a series of Social and Economic reforms that yielded mixed success. Though he was a biracial Jamaican from an elite family, Manley's successful Trade Union background helped him to maintain a close relationship with the country's poor, black majority, and he was a dynamic, popular leader. Unlike his father, who had a reputation for being formal and business like, the younger Manley moved easily among people of all strata and made Parliament accessible to the people by abolishing the requirement for men to wear Jackets and Ties to its sittings. In this regard he started a fashion revolution, often preferring the Kariba Suit which was a type of formal bush or Safari Jacket with trousers and worn without a shirt and tie popularly worn by African Leaders.
