Republican Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) who does he speak for?

Rep. John Boehner, "Rep. Steve King comments are deeply offensive and wrong"!

Rep. Steve King  (R-Iowa)
Europeans were welcomed to the United States through Ellis Island and their names were forever etched in the history of their new country. Some europeans continue to live in the United states without ever becoming citizens of the country that welcomed them, granted those alive today are well into their eighties and nineties and enjoy the benefits of their labor as citizens of the United States.

The other notable migration to the United states were black people purchased as slaves and brought to the united states as slave primarily to work on farms but later worked on some of the most prominent monuments including the capital building and the white house. Republicans like Rep. Steve King of Iowa continue to deny the very existence of black people and their contribution to this great country.

The attack by Rep.Steve King on "DREAMERS" and the "dream act" that would allow young people including Hispanics, Asians including indians, west Indians and other nationalities brought to the United by their parents to become legal residents and eventual citizens is not surprising. These are sentiments are expressed in the work place in public places and in the general community by individuals who feel disenfranchised as educated and qualified minorities now participate in prominent jobs and decision making that affect the nation going forward.

This is Rep. Steve King thinking of these young people and he will not back down from it,

"Some of them are valedictorians and their parents brought them in. It wasn't their fault. It’s true in some cases, but they aren't all valedictorians. They weren't all brought in by their parents. For every one who’s a valedictorian, there’s another 100 out there who weigh 130 pounds and they've got calves the size of cantaloupes because they've been hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert". Rep. Steve King

Regardless of Rep. John Boehner rebuke he is the leader of the Republicans in the house of representatives and he allowed these deep resentments of minorities to fester and grow in his caucus Rep. John Boehner should have seen this national embarrassing statement coming.

Baby Politics! Who Scares me?

The contrast how Kids see the 2 candidates running for President may be the difference in the Election, children don't vote their parents do, especially mothers "Baby Politics" could be the decider. We try to reflect how babies respond to our presidential candidates and the most memorable moments over the past eighteen months.

Like most Americans up to now Mitt Romney is a mystery and this child may be reflecting those sentiments. A little scared of the man who want to be President and make decisions on my education, grandmas social security, repeal the affordable care act taking health insurance coverage from 19 million Americans while not telling us any specific how you are going to do these things that scares me Mr Romney.

Playing Baby Politics is dangerous in a military family, thousands of American children are born to military families every year especially while the father is deployed, a very difficult situation for the mother in labor and a worst situation for the father who may be on the Battle field the moment of birth. These military families reflect a part of the 47% that Mitt Romney described as not talking responsibility for their themselves because soldiers pay no Taxes while in deploy.

Military wives and military children and babies should never be thought of as, "47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what, "there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing.”

Military families does not really believe this, the fact is the Romney family has never demonstrated in any way  willingness to defend this country in uniform. No member of the Romney Family has ever served the Militarily. Mitt Romney's father did not serve the military neither did Mitt Romney's or his five sons serve in the military, who then believe they are entitled?. The Romney's have used every opportunity afforded by this country to become successful while ignoring service and defending the very pillar on which their wealth is built.

The military children who have to grow without  fathers killed in battle and their mothers told by Mitt Romney that they believe that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing.”

Baby whisperer

President Obama since in office have had some unique moments with children especially babies, he has been called a baby whisperer on several occasions. If voting for either of these candidates depended on how children respond to them publicly President Obama probably would win hands down. We do not vote on a child's momentary reaction because as parents our young ones have their moments even with us.

"Looking Ahead"

"Deny President Obama a second term in office"

Congress will come back to their Part Time Jobs this Monday, there is much work to do, it is high time congress stop concentrating on the President and start working for the American people. Since Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell declared on December 7th 2010 that his primary responsibility as leader of the senate is to, "deny President Obama a second term in office", a most preposterous statement by a Elected Leader in Government, the problem is Senator Mitch McConnell, you have been successful derailing the Presidents Jobs agenda but Americans will hold the Republicans accountable for their obstruction in the elections of November 6th.

"Senator Mitch McConnell joined in the conspiracy cooked by elements in the Republican Party including Newt Gingrich, Leaders of the House Republicans, Republican Governors, Lobbyist, Leaders of the Business Community including Banking, elements of the Chamber of Commerce the night of the inauguration of President Obama not to support any Legislation Tabled by this President leaving him and his Legislative agenda mired in rising unemployment and 0 growth in the Economy and a failed Presidency".

To his credit the President had Democratic Majorities in the Senate and house of representatives. The house of representatives with a democratic Majority was fine but the Presidents challenges was in the Senate where the Republicans killed the Presidents agenda with the Filibuster. Legislation after Legislation supporting the Presidents agenda were passed by the Democratic House of Representatives without support from Republican house members but were killed in the Senate through Senate Republican Filibuster

The real question with the Congress coming back to their Part Time Jobs $165.000.00 one hundred and sixty five thousand dollar a year Jobs is weather these Elected Public Servants will stop worrying about President Obama's Job and find a way to get millions of Americans working again. President Obama will face the electorate in 59 days and the American People will make the decision weather or not to rehire him as President he has his Job, "It is time congress fold up their sleeves light the Lantern and get to work doing what it takes to put Americans back to work. Congressional Republicans have 59 days to do what they have refused to do since November of 2010. There is a silence in the Electorate, if Congress does not act there will be Hell to pay at the Ballot Box".

Since December 7th 2010 after the mid Term elections the Minority leader of the Senate Republican Mitch McConnell  decided to punish unemployed Americans denying them the opportunity of having a Job in order that President Barack Obama loses his Elected Job.

Mutabaruka---Dis Poem

Mutabaruka is a dub poet. His name comes from the Rwandan language and translates as "one who is always victorious". He lives in Potosi District, St. James with his significant other, Yvonne, and their two children. Mutabaruka continues to perform and write poems on every issue known to man. He's known for his expressions and lively performances more so than just the poems themselves. Some of his themes include sexism, politics, discrimination, poverty, race, and especially religion. Mutabaruka's stylistic form is in a way pathos related. He uses stories and experiences to get readers to think about issues in ways that they wouldn't normally think about them.

Known as Allen Hope as a child, Mutabaruka grew up in the Jamaica with his mother, father and two sisters. When Mutabaruka was only 8, his father died from unknown causes. He attended primary school where he received his nickname, "Mutabaruka". Later, he attended the Kingston Technical High School where he trained in electronics for four years. Muta then began finding himself within his early to late teenage years. In the late 60's into early 70's there was an up roaring of Black Awareness in Jamaica during Prime Minister Michael Manley leadership. Muta, who was in his late teens at the time, was drawn into that movement. In school he read many "progressive books" including Eldredge Cleaver's “Soul on Ice” and some that were then illegal in Jamaica, such as The Autobiography of Malcolm X. Mutabaruka envisioned himself as a young revolutionary. While still employed at the Telephone Company, stopped wearing shoes, he stopped combing his hair, started growing locks, and altered his diet. During his time at the Jamaica Telephone Company Ltd, Muta began examining and surrounding himself with the Rasta lifestyle. He found it meaningful and worth living for. Soon after, he converted completely to the movement.

Politics of Abortion

Abortion: tough personal decision

I think you support the Republican view in some portion of your statement but be mindful we cannot have both ways.I do not support Abortion neither do Republicans and most Democrats, I do not support welfare neither do Republicans bearing in mind there is more welfare money and government Program money going to Republican leaning States than Democrats. My contention is how do we draw the line between the REPUBLICANS FORCING WOMEN TO HAVE BABIES they cannot afford forcing them onto the welfare roles and then complaining we have too many people on welfare and the Moral issue of Abortion.

Forcing mothers to have children they cannot afford is a moral issue and starving mothers with malnourished children creates an new issue. Mother and child or children will now enter the social services system where we must be provided medical and all the other services available to them.

I am not an advocate for Abortion I hate the thought of it neither am I an advocate for welfare. I have never benefited from it, I do not know what is involved qualifying for or receiving those benefits. I casually of know people are on welfare and for the years I know them their lives have not changed. I also know of people who benefited from welfare in the past and have weened themselves and their children and have gone on to lead successful lives.

Corporate America is the biggest welfare recipient and we seem to give them a pass. Giving a helping hand to those of our Citizens White, Blacks, Hispanics or any race who need it is a MORAL OBLIGATION. Where we have failed is not setting a framework to allow them to grow out of welfare.

"Welfare is a Temporary Benefit"

While we refuse benefits to our citizens in our own country our money is paying for those benefits to citizens in other countries. The US AID pays for health care dental, medical provide nutrition school uniform, books, birth, control providing Housing and every other human need to citizens of other countries all over the world. Successive US government for some 60 continuous years have supported these aid programs abroad while denying their own citizens.

"Comprehensive Heath Care to the Citizens of a Nation is not benefit but a Human Right".

The concern should not be the money spent on welfare because every penny of those funds go straight back in the economy. Let us think how we can make difference Leading people away from welfare and not forcing them to have children they cannot afford.
